Food Services

Beginning with the 2026-27 school year, Edgemont is expanding its food service program to all three schools through the National School Lunch Program. Lunch will be available at no cost to all students in grades K-12, and breakfast will be available at no cost to students in grades 7-12 at Edgemont Jr./Sr. High School through New York State's Universal Free Meals initiative.

The expansion of meal service is supported by the new and renovated food service facilities included in the 2024 Building Dreams Capital Bond. The newly expanded kitchen at EHS will serve as the District's central food preparation facility, with meals prepared at EHS and delivered daily to the new warming kitchens at Greenville and Seely Place.

IMPORTANT STATUS UPDATE: Meal service will commence on the first day of school at both Edgemont Junior/Senior High School and Greenville Elementary School, but will not at Seely Place Elementary School, due to ongoing construction in the warming kitchen. We anticipate food service starting at Seely Place at some point in October. Additional information pertaining to the Seely Place start date will be communicated through the principals regular communications. 

For the 2026-27 school year, all Edgemont students can receive school lunch at no cost. Students in grades 7–12 can also receive breakfast at no cost. Funding to support this initiative comes through the New York State Universal Free Meals initiative. The first complete reimbursable meal is free. À la carte items, snacks, beverages, and additional meals may be purchased separately.

The District uses PaySchools Central as our third-party partner for managing student meal accounts and applicable District fee payments.

Families may use PaySchools Central to:

• Add funds for à la carte items and additional meals
• Review student meal account activity
• Manage student meal accounts
• Make applicable District fee payments

ACCESS PAYSCHOOLS CENTRAL REGISTRATION INSTRUCTIONS

New users should create a PaySchools Central account and complete the registration process. Note that you will need your child's Student Number (available on your child's schedule). Once registered, families can link their student(s) to their account and add funds as needed.

No account balance is required to receive a student's first complete breakfast or lunch at no cost. PaySchools funds are needed only for additional meals and other items available for purchase.

PaySchools Central permits both credit card and ACH electronic payments for students' accounts. Please note that convenience fees apply to credit card transactions. They are outlined below:

• $1.50 plus 3.5% of the payment when paying with a credit card
• $1.75 per transaction when paying via ACH

Our cafeteria is cashless; however, students may also bring a check to the cafeteria, and the funds will be added to their account immediately. You may also mail in or drop off a check in the main office payable to "Edgemont UFSD School Lunch Fund." Please write your child's name in the memo section of the check.

Although meals are available to all students at no cost, families are still encouraged to complete the annual Free & Reduced-Price Meal Application. Only one application is required per household.
