Facility Use Requests

If you choose to reserve space in our buildings, please keep in mind that fees may be charged to offset associated custodial costs. Any organization using district facilities must meet insurance requirements and have a current Certificate of Insurance on file with the District.

For those non-civic, non-community groups who are looking to rent our facilities, please see the Facilities Rental Fee Schedule.

Tier 1 - Student-focused community organizations that have a demonstrated long standing commitment to the district’s strategic goals, mission and vision as outlined by the district’s board of education

Tier 2 - Youth athletic programs that offer substantive support to district students and complement district-based athletic offerings. Substantive support will be determined by the Board of Education

Tier 3 - Adult athletic programs that offer benefit to district residents

 

Tier 1

  • Student-focused community organizations that have a demonstrated long standing commitment to the district’s strategic goals, mission and vision as outlined by the district’s board of education.
  • Fees: No fees so long as facilities are used during standard operating hours and usage does not incur additional costs
    • The Assistant Superintendent for Business or a designee will pass through any incremental costs. 
  • Qualifiers:
    • PTA, PTSA, Edgemont Scholarship Council, Edgemont School Foundation, EClub, Edgemont Community Council 
    • Girl Scouts of the USA and Boy Scouts of America as per title 34 of the Code of Federal Regulations

Tier 2

  • Youth athletic programs that offer substantive support to district students and complement district-based athletic offerings. Substantive support will be determined by the Board of Education.
  • Fees:
    • Annual Application Fee 
    • Wear-and-tear fee schedule
  • Qualifiers:
    • Edgemont Hoops, Edgemont Soccer Club, Edgemont Youth Lacrosse, Edgemont Youth Wrestling, Elmsford Little League, Elmsford Bulldogs, Panther Basketball, Mad Dog Flag Football 

Tier 3

  • Adult athletic programs that offer benefit to district residents
  • Fees:
    • Annual Application Fee 
    • Wear-and-tear fee schedule
  • Qualifiers:
    • Edgemont Hoops, Edgemont Badminton Club

Annual Facilities Use and Request Process Announcement

We would like to inform Edgemont UFSD Community Members and Organizations about our annual Facilities Use and Request process, a crucial aspect of our commitment to community engagement and involvement. This process involves the review and recognition of Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 organizations within our district as it relates to our Facilities Use Policy 4140.

Key Points:

  • Annual Review: The Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 organizations are reviewed annually at the Board of Education's Reorganization Meeting. This ensures that  district facilities may be made available  to community organizations that align with our district’s values and goals

  • Application Process: Applications for facility use will be posted on our district website on May 1, 2024. Interested community members and organizations are encouraged to submit their applications by the deadline of May 31, 2024.

  • Policy Committee Review: The Policy Committee members will review the applications submitted before the Reorganization Meeting in July. This thorough review ensures that the organizations align with our district's values and goals.

  • Voting at Reorganization Meeting: The final decision on the recognition of Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 organizations for the 2024-2025 academic year will be made during the Reorganization Meeting.

How to Apply:

  • Applications can be found on our district website here.

  • All interested organizations must submit their applications by May 31, 2024.

Be sure to complete all information fields and then click the submit button. If your registration was successful you will receive an e-mail confirmation.
