Holiday Message December 2022

FOR THE STAFF

Dear Edgemont School District family,

The holidays are a perfect time to take a moment to celebrate, embrace family and friends, and reflect on what is truly important. In the Edgemont School District, it is our mission to foster the values in our students that will be the foundation for more fulfilling lives; develop an understanding and appreciation of themselves and others and nurture a lifelong love of learning that enhances every aspect of their future.

I thank all – teachers, administrators, and staff – for your vital participation in that mission. As I walk the hallways of each of our schools and visit classrooms, I am struck by how our mission and vision are realized through your commitment to excellence, inclusion and joyous learning environments. I’ve observed you challenge our students and encourage them to have agency in their learning and recognize their role in making our community stronger. You help to make the world a better place.

I wish you a happy and wonderful holiday filled with cheer, laughter, good health and warm memories of time spent with loved ones. More valuable than any present you can give is the gift of fellowship. I look forward to seeing you all in 2023.

Yours for the sake of all children,

Ken
